ERP systems are raising a global debate in the business field. People who are pro-ERP claim it will revolutionize the entire global industry, saying we live in a “global village”. “Speaking the same language” – meaning using the same interface – can help different parts of a big organization work together. The best example is two colleagues, one in China and one in the U.S., who can work together as if they were in the same room.
As an ERP enthusiast, I think this best shows what ERP is, and what connects all the pieces of the puzzle together.
